The Warren Gun Club Christmas Shoot on Saturday saw around 35 shooters compete in 5 novelty events on a sunny day with some wind. As per tradition the 1^st place getters received a leg of ham, and 2^nd place getters received 2 chooks.

The first event shot was 20 targets Ball Trap.
AA grade- 1^st Sid Kinsey, 2^nd Scott Moody. A grade- 1^st Butch Gale, 2^nd David O’Brien. B grade- 1^st Scott Walton, 2^nd Graeme Patten. C grade- 1^st Priscilla Harvey, 2^nd Dean Murray.

Second Event 15 target Crazy Points with penalty.
AA grade- 1^st Steve Walker, 2^nd Max Betts. A grade- Brett Williamson, 2^nd David O’Brien. B grade- 1^st Graeme Patten, 2^nd Scott Watson. C grade- 1^st Michelle Owen, 2^nd Douglas Ferguson.

Third Event 22 Target Walk Back.
AA grade- 1^st Glenn Harvey, 2^nd Peter Jones. A grade- 1^st David O’Brien, 2^nd James Elias. B grade- Terry Moore, 2^nd Bruce Cottee. C grade- 1^st Dean Murray, 2^nd Priscilla Harvey.

Fourth Event 20 Target Deauville Doubles off 18 metres.
(Shooters are paired to shoot one target with one shot each).

Fifth Event 15 Pair Deauville Doubles off 15 metres.

This year’s ‘Club Legend’ sash and ham was awarded to Ben Wild. Congratulations and thanks to Ben for his work this year.

Warren Gun Club would especially like to thank Fiona and Nathan Soulsby for their work and commitment over the years and wishes them all the best in their transition. They will be greatly missed.

Warren Gun Club would once again like to thank and acknowledge shooters who travelled to the club, with shooters coming from Coonamble, Hermidale, Tottenham, Narromine, Gilgandra, Cobar and Lightning Ridge.

Next Saturday members of the Warren Gun Club will travel to the Coonamble Christmas shoot to win back the hams and chickens generously relinquished in the spirit of giving.
